Great Heritage Site in Sackville, NB

Had a great visit today to Campbell Carriage Factory Museum in Sackville, New Brunswick (Canada) – here are just a few photos from the visit.  I highly recommend it to anyone living in, or visiting, the area this summer!

First off – there is a gorgeous view of the famous Tantramar Marsh from the site – I really have to go back some sunny morning or evening to get a better shot…

Inside, there are lots of great old woodworking tools and machines…

There is also a neat blacksmith’s shop – with a fantastic forge built by local mason and artisan, Darrel Morice…

Lots of great carriages, too, of course…

And just some cool displays crying out for a better photographer than me (and something other than a phone camera…)

On the Way (to Prince Edward Island, Canada)

Here’s my entry in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “On the Way.”

On the way to PEI, just before you get on the Confederation Bridge at Cape Jourimain, New Brunswick, there is a lovely Nature Centre with a great lookout station.  From there you can see the lovely beach and the majestic bridge itself.  It’s a great stop on the way to PEI.
